Overview

Kiora Baby stores account, family, content, and subscription data needed to provide pregnancy, baby, memories, and family sharing features, plus device information used to protect your account.

This policy explains how Kiora Labs handles information for Kiora Baby.

Information we may process

  • Account and authentication data
  • Family and household membership data
  • Pregnancy, baby, memory, letter, and note content
  • Subscription and entitlement status
  • Device information, IP address, and approximate city and country (account security)
  • Support and diagnostic information

Account and device security

To protect your account and your family's data, when you open Kiora Baby we store information about the device you sign in from: an identifier generated by the app itself (not the one assigned by your operating system), the name you have given the device, its operating system and the app version, together with the date of the first and the most recent access.

We also record the IP address of the connection and, from it, the approximate city and country. To obtain that approximate location we query the ipwho.is service, to which we send only the IP address. We do not use your device's GPS and we do not ask for location permission: the location is approximate and may not match where you are if you use a VPN or mobile data.

We use this information for a single purpose: the security of your account. It lets us email you when someone signs in with your credentials from a new device, telling you which device and from where, so you can act if it was not you. We do not use it for advertising, we do not build profiles with it, and we do not share it with third parties beyond the geolocation service mentioned above.

The legal basis for this processing is our legitimate interest in protecting the accounts and personal data of the families who use Kiora Baby (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).

We keep this data for as long as the device appears in your list. You can view it, sign out of any device and remove it from the history at any time from Profile → Your devices. All of this data is deleted when you delete your account.

How information is used

Information is used to operate the app, authenticate users, provide app-specific features, sync content, protect accounts, respond to support requests, maintain subscriptions where applicable, and improve reliability.

Privacy and control

We design products around explicit user choices. Where family, household, or sharing features exist, access should be controlled through membership, roles, and privacy settings.

Retention and deletion

Data is retained only as long as needed to provide the service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. Users can request deletion through the account deletion page for this app.

Family and shared content

When an app supports households, invitations, or family content, access depends on user choices, roles, membership, and privacy settings available in the product.

Subscriptions and RevenueCat

If an app offers purchases or subscriptions, we may receive product, entitlement, renewal, expiration, and restore status from providers such as RevenueCat, Apple, or Google. We do not store full card details.

Analytics and diagnostics

We may process technical events, errors, performance, and diagnostic data to improve reliability, detect failures, and protect the service.

Notifications

If you enable notifications, the app may use device tokens or permissions to send reminders, alerts, or updates related to features you activated.

Storage

Content may be stored locally on the device and/or in secure cloud services for sync, operational backup, and cross-device access where supported by the app.

User rights

You may request access, correction, deletion, or objection to processing where applicable under local law. Contact privacy using the configured email.
